The Comfort Wedge Pillow was a definite favorite out of all the wedge pillows we tried. This is a memory foam pillow that also features an “egg-crate” design towards the top of the wedge, which helps promote ventilation.. The Comfort Wedge met all of our criteria, and the overall feeling of comfort and support was a real crowd pleaser.
Unlike many wedge pillows, the Comfort Wedge manages to be firm without being overly hard. No matter your height or weight, the Comfort Wedge seems to effortlessly contour to your body and cushions your head, neck, and shoulders. Remarkably, the Comfort Wedge was popular with both the back sleepers and the side sleepers on our review team. Although the pillow isn’t adjustable, it’s available in 9” and 12” heights that are equally comfortable, so choosing one is simply a matter of personal preference.
The Comfort Wedge also works well as a backrest for reading or watching TV, and it isn’t so large that it occupies too much of the bed. The pillow comes with a very soft and breathable quilted bamboo cover that can quickly be removed for laundering. In addition, the Comfort Wedge has a number of other thoughtful touches, including a carrying handle and discreet side pockets for storing reading glasses or a phone. All of the materials used in the Comfort Wedge are clearly of high quality, from the tough YKK zippers to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100-certified fabric. Whether you’re using a wedge pillow to relieve neck pain, to provide back support, or simply to get better sleep, the Comfort Wedge is an excellent choice that’s versatile enough to meet all of these needs.

Our team of reviewers was pleasantly surprised by the Xtra-Comfort Bed Wedge Pillow. The Xtra-Comfort consists of a large and a small wedge that can be Velcroed into several different configurations, allowing you to use it for any type of leg, knee, or back support. Although the pillow is relatively firm, this is likely to appeal to plenty of people, especially back sleepers who want to ensure that they don’t “sink” into their memory foam pillow. The Xtra-Comfort is a bit smaller than some of the other wedge pillows we tested, and it’s very portable, with a useful carrying strap. This wedge pillow is especially well-suited for use as a backrest, either in bed or on the couch. Although the Xtra-Comfort doesn’t come with an additional pillow cover, we noticed a few cotton covers on Amazon that would fit this pillow perfectly.

Like the Xtra-Comfort, the Bekweim is also an adjustable wedge pillow, which can be raised or lowered to either a 9” or 12” height, depending on the amount of incline desired. Because of its versatility, this is a great pillow for propping up your knees or supporting your legs, in addition to its primary function of providing comfortable back and neck support. The 7-in-1 design of the Bekweim makes it a popular choice for people recovering from surgery or who are likely to need different types of support at different times.
Although the Bekweim is on the firm side for a memory foam pillow, this makes it an ideal backrest, and it’s likely to appeal to people who want a lot of support from their pillow. Our team was very impressed with the softness of the quilted cover, which is washable and surprisingly breathable.
