Little Bundle Review: How Does the Baby Formula Provider Stack up?

Amy Davis

Choosing the right formula for your little one is a big decision -- and so is finding a formula supplier that you can rely on. I’m pleased to say that my experience with Little Bundle has been entirely positive. Little Bundle has been my go-to source for organic formula throughout my daughter Lily’s first year, and I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent retailer to other parents.

My Little Bundle Story

Due to a combination of health issues, I was only able to breastfeed Lily for six weeks before having to make the difficult decision to transition to formula.

I knew that if I couldn’t give my daughter breast milk, I wanted to give her the next best thing. I didn’t want her consuming unhealthy or highly processed ingredients such as corn syrup when there are alternatives made with organic lactose. I also wanted to make sure that her formula was free from GMOs, pesticide residue, chemicals, synthetic nutrients, and preservatives.

After extensive research, I discovered that organic European formula brands such as HiPP and Holle offer the closest alternative to breast milk, with high-quality ingredients such as biodynamic milk, organic lactose, organic vegetable oils, vitamins, minerals, omega-3, and prebiotics.

That’s where Little Bundle comes into my story. During my research, I stumbled upon the Little Bundle website and was excited to learn that they specialize in just one thing -- organic infant formulas from Europe. They only carry three brands: HiPP, Holle, and Lebenswert, which are recognized all over the world as some of the best formulas available.

Fantastic Formulas, Caring Customer Service

Although I had done lots of my own research, I wanted some expert advice about what formula would be best for Lily, so I got in touch with Little Bundle’s customer service team to help with the decision.

We eventually settled on HiPP Comfort because of her sensitive tummy and issues with gas. It’s easy to digest thanks to partially hydrolyzed proteins and a slightly reduced lactose content, while still being nutritionally complete. I was impressed with how thick and creamy the formula was, as I had heard that hydrolyzed formulas are often thin or have an odd smell.

Even though it was emotionally challenging for me to stop breastfeeding, Lily adjusted to HiPP Comfort without any difficulty -- and I’m sure this was because she was being fed such a wonderful formula

During those exhausting early months of parenting, I knew that if nothing else, I would always have a ready supply of infant formula at my fingertips. Everyone I’ve communicated with at Little Bundle knows the formulas inside and out, and they’ve helped enormously by answering my frequent questions about everything from ingredients to formula preparation to delivery information. It’s been very reassuring to know that I can always chat online with one of Little Bundle’s friendly representatives, and I’ve always received prompt replies to my emails, as well.

When my daughter turned six months old and was no longer having stomach troubles, Little Bundle helped me choose a follow-on formula (Holle Stage 2) and they gave me great advice about how to gradually transition between formulas.

Lily is now 10 months old and eating plenty of solid foods, but Holle formula is still an important part of her diet (and our daily routine). Unlike many other retailers that only carry Stage 1 and Stage 2 formulas, Little Bundle carries quite a few Stage 3 formulas for toddlers, so we’ll be able to switch with as little disruption as possible.

Ordering and Delivery

Ordering formula from Little Bundle couldn’t be any more straightforward. Their website is simple and easy to use, with detailed information about each of their formulas, as well as ingredients, nutrition facts, and preparation instructions. They also have a convenient Baby Formula Comparison Chart that has come in handy many times when I wanted to figure out exactly what the differences are between the various formulas.

Although I was initially worried that buying imported European formula would be prohibitively expensive, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Little Bundle formulas are only slightly pricier than the organic U.S. formulas I see at the grocery store -- and with far better ingredients and processing standards. You can order formula from Little Bundle by the box, or in packs of six to 15 boxes (depending on the product). There are significant discounts for buying in bulk, too.

Little Bundle offers free shipping on all orders over $50 (ie. two formula packs or more). The shipping times are always surprisingly quick, and I’ve never had to wait more than three days for my formula to arrive via FedEx. It’s also great to know that in a bind, I could order my favorite formula from Little Bundle and it would be delivered the next day with FedEx Overnight.

Every formula shipment that I’ve received from Little Bundle has arrived beautifully packaged and entirely intact. The formula itself is always fresh, thanks to being transported via refrigerated air freight and stored in a climate-controlled warehouse. There are always many months to go before the expiration date on every box of formula I’ve ordered from Little Bundle, and I’ve never had a problem with formulas being out of stock.

Little Bundle’s Baby Satisfaction Guarantee

I haven’t needed to use it because Lily has loved both of the formulas we’ve tried, but Little Bundle has a “Baby Satisfaction Guarantee” that gives you store credit if your baby has an adverse reaction to the product you ordered. Knowing that I could simply try another formula without wasting money definitely improved my peace of mind when my daughter was just starting out with formula.

Discovering a reliable, customer-focused retailer like Little Bundle at a time when I really needed advice and support made the transition to formula feeding far easier than I expected. Most importantly, I was able to devote all of my attention to my daughter, rather than having to worry about whether there were questionable ingredients in her formula, and whether our next shipment would be delivered on time.

My advice to other parents who may be struggling with formula feeding is to put your trust in a company that specializes in just one thing -- providing the best organic baby formulas. And that’s exactly what Little Bundle is all about.
