There is a long list of herbs for premature ejaculation, including Eurycoma longifolia, Epimendium grandiflorum, She Chaung Zi, Ginkgo biloba, xanthoparmelia, and Yohimbine. Most of these herbs are touted as potential aphrodisiacs. There is still some debate on how effective several these herbs are as sexual enhancers, while others have clinical findings in their favor. Most of them have not been proven as being effective herbs for premature ejaculation, however, since the sexual stimulation they offer enhances libido rather than slowing it down.

One of the most common herbs for premature ejaculation is Eurycoma longifolia. This is a tree with small green leaves, and it has long been heralded as a sexual enhancer. It helps to increase libido, and this has been backed by medical studies. The herb is also commonly used as a bodybuilding supplement because it also increases lean muscle mass, making weight lifted more effective.

Another of the most popular herbs for premature ejaculation is She Chaung Zi. This herb is also a known sexual enhancer grown in China, and it works by increasing blood flow and relaxing the muscles around the pelvis, including the penis. Ginkgo biloba is also used as a sexual enhancer in its fruit form, since it works in much the same way. Ginkgo is one herb which has a controversial reputation, since studies regarding its abilities to aid in memory and improved brain function are contradictory.

Epimendium grandiflorum, also called "horny goat weed," and the remaining herbs for premature ejaculation in the list are also known to be sexual enhancers. Most have a good reputation in this respect, as they typically aid in relaxing the muscles and increasing blood flow so an erection is achieved more easily. The problem with using any of the aforementioned herbs for premature ejaculation, is that they help increase libido, whereas libido would need to be decreased in those with premature climax. Most men who ejaculate too early have no problem getting an erection, rather they are overly sensitive to stimulation and finish sooner than they would like.

Many cases of premature ejaculation can be remedied through more frequent sexual encounters. Using rings around the base of the penis may also be helpful because they slow blood flow into the penis and cause less sensation. Using condoms may also help, since the barrier over the penis may make stimulation less heightened.

@literally45-- The article has actually made this point. If you don't have a problem with libido and erection, then you don't need sexual stimulants. Look into herbs for anxiety, because performance anxiety is a major cause of premature ejaculation.

@literally45-- Have you thought about seeing a Chinese medicine or a homeopathy practitioner?

Herbs can definitely help with premature ejaculation but it's not a good idea to try and treat ourselves with them. The combinations of herbs, their doses and the period of use needs to be determined by a doctor who has experience in this area.

I'm getting good results with Chinese herbs for premature ejaculation. I'm using a herbal remedy that contains about ten different herbs like horny goat weed, goji berry, cinnamon, zhi fu zi, and others I can't remember. Please see a doctor and get a herbal remedy that's unique to you and your needs.

I'm not sure that herbs for sexual enhancement are a good idea for premature ejaculation. Isn't premature ejaculation a problem of over-stimulation? And herbs like horny goat weed and ginkgo biloba will increase blood flow and stimulation to the genitals. So won't they make the situation worse?

I've tried ginkgo biloba for this problem and it did not work for me.
