Although it varies by region, most county court records contain statistical information about people and businesses within the town. This would include the owner of every single structure within the county lines, and it would also show the previous occupants as well. Most county court records also include information about the citizens, such as when they were born, their tax information, and any previous civil or criminal issues. A large portion of county court records also include statistical information like the percentage of voters, where the residents attend church, and employment statistics.

A large part of most county court records are dedicated to tracking ownership. Not only is the county taxation drawn from these figures, but it also allows regions to monitor when new residents move to town and other vital statistics. Everything from building permits to exotic vehicles are itemized and stored within county court records so that the area leaders know exactly what each of their citizen's assets are. Businesses are also tracked using the same type of filing system.


Keeping track of each individual citizen is another type of county courthouse record. This includes where each citizen was born, when the deceased passed away, and the next of kin for legal purposes. It would also contain all of the criminal records of each law-breaker within the county, along with his or her sentencing and any other stipulations issued by the judge. Monitoring the number of children within the area is another type of county court record that helps leaders decide in advance when to build schools or city parks. Civil records are stored in county court records as well.

Each region also keeps thousands of county court records on the area itself. For example, driver and traffic information is used to decide when to build new roads or expand existing ones. County court records also help track the employment rate, benefit spending, and any other changes that may affect a city's budget. This helps leaders decide when to raise taxes or how to implement programs that would best serve the residents.

Other county court records are kept for categorization purposes. Things like religious denominations, age groups, political affiliations, and incomes level all help the government decide how to spend tax dollars on improvements for the area. By utilizing each of these records to monitor the citizens and how they live their lives, the county can continue to grow and prosper.
