Why Do Some People Look Older at Different times of the Week?

Do people look older at different times of the week? According to a 2013 UK study, they do.

About 12% of the women who participated in the study felt that Wednesday is the most stressful day of the week. Stress and low energy levels make many women look their oldest at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Work-related stress, lack of sleep, alcohol consumption during weekends, and less interest in skin care around this time of the week are believed to be some of the causes.

Experts say that it may take several days for the effects of toxins and sleepless nights to show on the face. So too much alcohol on the weekend and poor night's sleep on Sunday or Monday due to the stress of returning to work may show its effects around Wednesday. Moreover, 19% of women who participated in the study said that they often work during their lunch hour on Wednesdays. Naturally, fatigue reflects negatively on facial appearance.

Experts recommend avoiding alcohol and tobacco, getting enough sleep, wearing sun protection and moisturizing skin regularly for a healthy and young look.
