What Is the Most Common Birthday in the United States?

The most common birthday in the United States is 5 October, research shows. It is estimated that more than 12,500 babies are born each year on that day and that more than 960,000 people in the US celebrate their birthdays on 5 October. By comparison, most days have about 750,000 Americans celebrating their birthdays. It is thought that perhaps the reason 5 October is the most common birthday in the US is because the date of conception could have been New Year’s Eve, when people are likely to be celebrating.
