How Much Money is Paid in Bribes Each Year?

The World Bank estimates that more than $1 trillion US Dollars (USD) is paid each year in bribes — that's about equal to the gross domestic product of India. The countries where corruption is most common are Somalia, Myanmar, Iraq, Haiti and Afghanistan.
