Although obtaining a college degree is a main requirement of becoming a cloud architect, candidates also must understand the mechanics of cloud development. Many cloud technologies are delivered as on-demand software, also known as software as a service (SaaS), so cloud architects must be able to operate within this framework. Someone who is looking to get a job as a cloud architect will also need to understand a variety of programming languages and protocols to create and implement successful cloud environments.

After obtaining a good understanding of cloud technology and real-world experience, a prospective candidate will be in a better position to obtain a cloud architect position.

There also are several certifications available to give someone who is looking to become a cloud architect a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Some certifications educate participants on how to deploy, operate and manage cloud applications, among other valuable skills. Others are geared toward prospective candidates who specialize in creating cloud environments revolving around storage, networking and virtual applications.

I don't have knowledge of software programs. I'm planning to be a certified cloud architect. Am I going down the right path? I've finished my BSC CS 2012 pass out.
