Tuesday is thought to be most productive because workers are able to begin new work after using Monday to catch up on any work that was not completed the previous week. Thursdays and Fridays are considered equally as the least productive days in the work week, which may be due to employees losing motivation toward the end of the week, as well as overestimating how much work they can do. The study also found that the week after a vacation is considered the most productive overall time period for employees.
