The HCG diet phase 1 is the first stage of a weight-loss program. HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone thought to promote weight loss. Found in the placenta of pregnant women, it can help to control metabolic functions. This hormone is used along with a low-calorie diet to lose weight. As the days progress, the dieter should increase the speed and distance of the walk. This can also speed up the metabolism and increase weight loss.
