The Delta Children bassinet is definitely the best! We are currently using it with our second baby, and he loves it (and so do we)! It was a cinch to set up—even by myself while pregnant. It's got a great look that goes with any room colors or gender. It's super sturdy, but light enough that it's easy to move around the house, so I can keep an eye on the baby wherever I happen to be during nap times, and then move it back to the bedside for night time. But my favorite feature: it lulls my baby to sleep! The vibrations, music, lights, and rotating star mobile make it so relaxing for him. It's so nice for this tired mama to have a break from all the rocking and bouncing I had to do to try to calm down my first baby! I've seen lots of bassinets with all the nifty gadgets and whatnot, but this one is the most affordable (without sacrificing any quality). It's intended for use up to about 5 months, so I'll definitely get lots of good use out of this.
The Delta Children bassinet is a lifesaver. I love having my baby just right there next to the bed in the night, and the mesh sides let me keep an eye on her and keep things breathable for her (lower SIDS risk is a huge relief!). My husband and I used to have burp cloths, wipes, diapers, and all sorts of baby stuff scattered throughout our bedroom, but once we got this bassinet, we've just neatly stored everything in the little basket underneath—so convenient!
If you're worried about the baby waking with any light, Delta Children has an adjustable canopy you can just pull over the top to keep things darker for her. We've really loved that feature.
@Nico Darby, have you seen any problems with the mattress being lumpy or misshapen in any way? I want to purchase this, but that is my biggest concern right now, because I've seen so many other baby products with cheap lumpy mattresses!

We wanted our son sleeping close so we could keep an eye on him throughout the night, so we got the Baby Delight Bedside Sleeper, and love it. There aren’t any bells and whistles, but we actually prefer it that way - ... It was quick and easy to set up, and didn't even require any tools. Another important note: the bassinet has 6 height levels you can adjust to to match the bed height, but it still seems to only fit fairly low beds, like ours. Baby Delight Bedside Sleeper is an awesome option, especially if you're nursing! My only worry is that my baby could press his face against the side that lines up with the bed... and suffocate against the solid material of our sheets. So far, it's been okay, but I'll just have to keep a close eye on him. Read more
@Jane Powers, it's really helpful for recovering from a C-section, too. Before we got ours, my husband would have to bring the baby to me for night feedings, because... it hurt to lean over his crib. Now, my baby's just right there, and it's way easier to pick him up! Read more

Chicco has a great option. I love having it right next to me through the night. Having something on wheels was especially helpful at the beginning of my C-section recovery. I do wish ... Chicco sold more of their mattress covers, though. They’re quilted on one side for sleeping and waterproof on the other for changing. We are enjoying our Chicco bassinet. Our only complaint is the lack of built-in storage space. It can be wheeled from room to room easily. I like Chicco's bassinet. It has a little electronic attachment to play music, vibrate, or shine a nightlight, which has been soothing for our baby. And it's great that it can move around so easily!

I like Fisher Price's bassinet. It vibrates, plays music/sounds, and has a dancing light projection. It's very soothing for my daughter. Although, I wish it was more customizable... —it only allows using all the features at once, not just one at a time. It also can sway back and forth, but the movement is a bit jerky. Our Fisher Price has done a good enough job, for the most part. It was really easy to set up. We don't really use the mobile anymore—it just got in the way when picking up our ... baby. I liked the Fisher Price at first, too, until my son started wiggling a bit more. He woke up with bleeding toes, and I can't find anything sharp or rough inside the bassinet except the ... mesh. The mesh is extremely rough—definitely too much for sensitive baby skin.Read more

Graco's Sense2Snooze bassinet seems like every parent's dream. It claims a "cry detection technology" that hears a baby crying, and then tries a bunch of different vibrations, rocking, and sound till the baby is calmed. In reality, it... functions well enough as a bassinet, but all the "bells and whistles" are disappointing. The rocking motion startles my baby, the white noise is quiet, and it rarely soothes her crying. Read more
@Tara Mann, my baby did so well with this bassinet at first. He is colicky, and this finally calmed him down. But then, after just a few weeks, the cry detection just stopped working! I'm frustrated that I paid so much for basically just a regular old bassinet.

Halo's Swivel Bassinest could be a helpful option for some. It rotates to be quite close to me or out of the way so I can get out of bed (helpful for mothers recovering from childbirth). The side wall lowers, but bounces right back ... up, so not very useful. And unless it's positioned in the center, it tilts, causing my son to roll over (still a concern at this age). It's a great product for some, but I wish we had gotten something different for us. Read more
@Corynn Hartell, the bassinet says to tuck one leg of the base under the bed, but our bed's frame is in the way. Have you had problems with this?
@Emmet Bristow, our bed sits above the ground so it works, but if I don't tuck any legs under, it only swivels to be about a foot away from me—which kinda defeats the purpose of the product.
