Chambers for steam curing are available, in addition to equipment that can be used to assemble curing rooms. Manufacturers provide detailed specifications for their products in order to allow people to order the products most suited to their needs. Companies that use this process must consider the types of materials they are curing and how they will be used when determining the appropriate humidity and temperature for this curing process.
@lovealot - I completely agree with you. I get tired of companies that turn out inferior products either by using poor quality materials, or using production techniques that produce quickly, but the products become defective.
With the steam curing in the production of concrete, I would think that anyone who bought, say, steam cured concrete pavers and went to all the trouble to install them, would be very angry if they started to crack several years after installation.
Humm -interesting, companies are willing to use most any kind of processing to get the manufacturing finished and into the sales market. The quicker the better, even if they turn out a product that is weaker and inferior.
It seems that the controlled steam curing is a whole lot quicker than the regular curing. I would much prefer a product that is strong and lasts for the long term, even if I have to pay a little more.
