Eyebrow mascara is an eyebrow grooming tool similar to regular mascara and designed to help problem eyebrows in some way. People use eyebrow mascaras to tame unruly eyebrows, help thin eyebrows look fuller and healthier, and add color to pale or sparse eyebrows. Generally, the price of eyebrow mascaras is comparable to that of other traditional mascaras, and they can be purchased in most of the same places regular mascaras are sold.

There are several reasons a person might use eyebrow mascara. It can help tame wiry eyebrows when regular tweezing doesn’t help. For people who have thin eyebrows, eyebrow mascara can help give the illusion of thicker eyebrows. Some forms of the mascara actually act as eyebrow makeup, meaning a person can use it to temporarily change the color of her eyebrows. This is a simple yet helpful option for people with pale eyebrows who want to achieve dark eyebrows.

The kind of eyebrow mascara a person uses will depend on the results the person wants. For example, if a person wants to use eyebrow mascara only to tame wild eyebrows, a clear eyebrow mascara is best. If a person wants to change the color of her eyebrows, or make them more vibrant, she should try a mascara designed to provide an eyebrow tint. Of course, some eyebrow mascaras are designed for playful or costume purposes. This means a person could find a mascara in blue, green, purple, or any other fun color she might want.

Keep in mind that not all eyebrow mascaras are created equal. As a person shops for eyebrow beauty products, she should look for mascaras that claim to be easy-to-apply, light, and non-sticky. Waterproof mascara is helpful, but she should read the packaging to make sure the mascara is designed to easily wash away just in case she applies too much or realizes it’s not the right mascara for her. Another feature to look for is flake-free, which means the mascara won’t begin to dry out, flake, and become obvious after it’s applied. Some eyebrow mascaras claim to provide the eyebrows with nutrients, which may be helpful for people with thin, unhealthy looking eyebrows.

A wide variety of retail locations sells eyebrow mascaras. In addition to ordering from online retailers, a person could look for eyebrow mascara at a local beauty supply store, the cosmetics section of a department store, or even a costume and party supply store. The cost will depend on the exact product, its purpose, and the retailer, but most eyebrow mascaras are within the same price range as traditional kinds of mascara. Before making a selection, a person should read other customer reviews and even talk with people who have experience with eyebrow cosmetics, such as a cosmetologist or other beauty or salon professional.

@spotiche5- That is a good tip that I will have to try. Another good way to get well-groomed eyebrows is by applying eyebrow coloring powder and a little bit of eyebrow gel to put them into place. This method also works just as well as using eyebrow mascara.

I have used eyebrow mascara in the past, and though it works, I don't think it gives the best effect. For example, it seems to make your eyebrows look thinner than when you use a regular eyebrow pencil to enhance them. However, you need to do an extra step to put unruly eyebrows in place when using an eyebrow pencil.

For people who either can't find eyebrow mascara or have tried it and don't like it, I have tips for creating beautiful eyebrows. First, fill in your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil that is slightly darker than your hair color. Next, apply a small amount of hairspray to a clean toothbrush and brush your eyebrows to put them in place. Basically, this simple, two-step process replaces eyebrow mascara and creates great results.
