I'm sure it would be possible to have negative economic value added, wouldn't it? Of course, it would be very bad if a company were in that shape, since they would be spending more to make products than they sold for, but I'm sure it could happen on rare occasions.
I bet it would be most common when a company is first starting, and they are spending a lot of money to create products, but don't have people buying the goods at first. |

Are there any implications of the economic value added formula in the stock market? It seems like companies with a higher number would be seen as less risky investments, since they are able to create more profit from less capital. |
