It also raises ethical questions about a patient using his or her relative affluence to exploit a poorer country’s health service.
It has to be stressful to have this type of work done in an unfamiliar area. Some people choose this option though because it is so cost-effective, and they may not otherwise be able to have much-needed dental work done.
People who are thinking about doing dental tourism need to be smart about it. Check out a facility ahead of time, and make sure it has good reviews and a qualified dentist or oral surgeon on staff.
