Citrulline is a dietary supplement that helps to relieve stress and increase energy levels. It is classified as a non-essential amino acid, and it may be found in certain foods. Citrulline may also be referred to as L-citrulline or alpha amino gamma ureidovaleric acid. It can be found as an ingredient in many health supplements and may also be taken separately in tablet form.

The supplement's name was derived from the Latin meaning for watermelon. It may be found in various food sources such as red meat, fish and some diary products. It is also present in fruits and vegetables such as watermelons and onions.
