@anamur-- That's an interesting question. I'm wondering the same thing because I've sort of done this myself.
I'm really interested in Indian culture and I've been learning Hindi and learning how to act in Indian culture through movies. I have no idea if this fits the anticipatory socialization definition because I don't really have plans of living in India.
But this has definitely become a part of my identity. When I go to an Indian grocery store or restaurant, I have noticed that I behave differently, more like an Indian. So what you said might be true. I'm no social scientist though, so who knows.
