The wording of this law/credit is incredibly confusing. Why can't they just say: "Students can claim this credit four four years (only) of college leading to an undergraduate/bachelor's degree as long as the student has not previously attained a bachelor's degree." Because I think that's really what they mean.
I am a post-bacc and I technically don't have '4 years worth' of credit at that institution. And I've never claimed the credit before. So it seems that I should be able to, from reading between their lines. But I've read enough to the contrary elsewhere, that it seems I actually can't claim the credit, which is a major bummer since we only made $25,000 this year for our family of three.
