A grooming tub is a dedicated space made for washing animals. There are many different types of grooming tubs that are manufactured from different materials in different sizes and may have a variety of features, such as legs to raise the tub off the ground or a restraint for the pet. The tubs are used both by professional groomers and by individuals in their own homes.

Grooming tubs are available in a range of sizes to accommodate different types or breeds of animals. For example, a large breed of dog will need a greater amount of space than a small one. Many manufacturers also make petite tubs specifically for smaller pets. Professionals or exotic pet owners may need tubs that are quite large when grooming animals of a size greater than that of typical domesticated pets.

One of the most common grooming tub manufacturing materials is stainless steel since this material is helpful for battling rust caused by the water used in tubs for grooming. Plastic is another popular material used to make grooming tubs. Some portable or travel grooming tubs may be made from nylon, as it is lightweight and flexible.

There are many grooming tub accessories. Rubber mats made to minimize slipping are popular. Ladders or ramps for the pets also are commonly used to permit easy access to and from the tub. Racks may be placed in some tubs so that an animal can be raised above standing water. In addition, external containers or built-in shelves to hold shampoo, brushes, and other grooming supplies may be helpful.
