A complexion bar is a kind of bar soap that is used specifically to help improve one's complexion. There are some kinds of soaps that are intended for the face and others that are intended to improve one's skin all over the body. A complexion bar for the face may treat any number of complexion issues including wrinkling, sagging, age spots, acne, dullness, or unevenness in the skin. A complexion bar for the body, on the other hand usually either just treats body acne or dry skin. This is because while people may want to treat a number of issues relate to the skin on the face, acne and dryness are the two main complexion issues for skin on the body.

Sometimes a complexion bar will include an exfoliant in its formula. These kinds of complexion bars are used to slough away dead skin cells and reveal newer skin underneath. These bars can also improve circulation in the skin, which can give it a healthy look and a glow. The exfoliant ingredients may be natural ingredients such as seaweed or loofah fibers or they may be synthetic. It is important to note that a complexion bar with an exfoliant should not be used on sensitive or dry skin as it can cause irritation and redness.

Many people use a liquid cleanser or scrub to clean their skin on a daily basis. While traveling, however, this can be difficult as there are a number of restrictions on carrying liquids onto airplanes. As such, some people find that traveling with a complexion bar is much easier. Not only is the bar acceptable for transportation on an airplane, but it is often lighter in weight than a bottle of liquid cleanser. Also, with a complexion bar, travelers don't have to worry about liquid cleanser leaking all over the contents of their suitcases or totes.

A complexion bar is often used along with a few other complexion products such as toners, lotions, and creams. After the face has been cleansed using warm water and the complexion bar, it should be dried before other products are applied. Toner or astringent can be used to give the skin another level of cleanliness. Toners and astringents can also help to treat a number of issues in the skin such as acne and wrinkling. Finally, once the toner has been applied, moisturizer can be massaged into the face and neck to keep the skin healthy and firm.

@babylove - Yes, it is possible to develop a reaction against any skin care product. As we get older our skin is aging too and typically becomes dry and sensitive.

You should try using an organic complexion cleanser that uses all natural ingredients and increase the use of a good moisturizing complexion cream.

There are an increasing number of organic products on the market today to choose from. You should look for ones that are moisture rich to nourish your skin and gently cleanse it at the same time.

I've been using the same complexion cleansing bar faithfully for the past five years but just recently I noticed a red rash on my jaw and forehead.

I stopped using the soap last week and now it's starting to clear up. Is it possible to develop a reaction against a product you've been using for so long?
