Quick Response (QR) codes are graphics that can be relatively small in size and provide a great deal of information when scanned with a device like a smart phone. There are a number of different QR code labels and stickers that can be used in various contexts to convey data. They are often used on shipping or storage labels, allowing workers at a warehouse or parcel delivery service to scan them quickly and easily. QR code labels can also be printed out on stickers and similar materials to affix them to signs and other objects for advertising and to communicate information.

Just about any type of material that can be easily printed upon, such as plain paper and sheets of stickers, can be used to make QR code labels. These simple black and white graphics are typically generated through software that easily prints them. When created on plain paper, an adhesive such as tape or glue can be used to affix these images to other objects. They can also be printed directly onto sheets of paper that have adhesive on them, such as labels and stickers, allowing them to be more easily used.

QR code labels are often created on fairly large sheets that also include text or other data and are used for shipping or storage information. A company that accepts packages and delivers them to other locations, for example, can use these images on mailing labels. Along with other information on the package, such as the sender and receiver's addresses, the code can be used to scan the item and track it throughout delivery and store more data than other types of images. In warehouses, QR code labels are often used to keep records about a pallet of products in one simple graphic, which can be scanned to display information for warehouse workers to properly track the item.

Stickers, in sheets or individual pieces, can be used as QR code labels, allowing them to be easily affixed to other objects. A company can print up QR stickers, for example, that contain information about a product and a link to the business's homepage on the Internet. These QR code labels can then be stuck onto fliers for the company's products, or onto packaging for the items produced by it. Such stickers can be especially useful for conferences and similar business opportunities, in which their placement can be more organic as they are distributed among visitors and various locations at the event.
