Dinner booths were once mostly associated with diners and small taverns, but are common in a variety of restaurants. Sometimes people also install kitchen booths to highlight the home décor. There are several types of dinner booths to choose from whether they are new or used; the size, shape, and material can vary quite a bit also. A rectangular table is often the standard, but circular and even corner booths may fit a particular space. For some settings, half-circular booths are sometimes more suitable.

One of the most significant considerations for dinner booths is whether they accommodate enough people. Some types have the typical rectangular table; standard sizes are often 30 inches (about 76 cm) or 48 inches (about 122 cm), depending on the space available and how many people are to be served in the space. Dinner booths can be designed to seat a couple of people, or as many as five or six. Smaller varieties, in styles that are often associated with drive-in, café, or smaller venues, can be the right choice if they fit.

Circular and U-shaped dinner booths are sometimes the centerpiece of a restaurant, café, or even a living room. These can be comparatively large but are generally good for comfortably seating a group of people. There are also double-style booths, also an alternate choice to fit the space and the atmosphere of the venue. Often associated with diners of the 1950s, such furniture is often available as new products, while foam padding and backrests usually provide the necessary comfort.

Other kinds of dinner booths can have a wood frame that highlights their design. They can be padded with various materials, while plain wooden products are often available as well. The style can also fit different themes, or reflect designs common to certain regions around the world. Outdoor booth seating is another choice, and often has material resistant to the elements, or can be exclusively made of wood or metal. Depending on the manufacturer or supplier, bench style products are sometimes sold as well.

Color is another characteristic that can determine the ultimate product choice. Dinner booths are often available with a choice of many colors, or combinations of them, regardless of the shape or size. The selection is typically a matter of mixing and matching the furniture with what goes in a particular setting. Various patterns for the booth’s material can be available so there are generally many choices to make when selecting something for a restaurant or residential space.
