What Are the Benefits of Vitamin E Oil?

The benefits of vitamin E oil include improved appearance of the skin, nails, and hair. The oil can also treat scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and dry skin. On the nails, the oil can help heal dry and damaged cuticles. As a conditioner, vitamin E can give hair a smooth appearance and soft feel.

Minor scars, such as those from acne, can benefit from the application of vitamin E oil. As a topical treatment, the oil is massaged directly on to the scared area and blends into the skin surrounding the scar. After several uses, the vitamin E can help lift the scar and improve the texture of the surrounding skin, making the small scar less noticeable.

Aging, sun exposure, and smoking can cause wrinkles along the face and neckline. Vitamin E oil moisturizes aged and damaged skin, and helps the skin regain some of the elasticity it once had. Several manufacturers market night and day creams, indicating that vitamin E oil can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Men and women who suffer from acne may find relief through the benefits of vitamin E oil. Applying vitamin E oil alone, or using a skincare product containing vitamin E, can help reduce future acne breakouts on the face and body. The oil can also help reduce the appearance of hyper-pigmentation — the dark red marks left behind after acne clears. These marks can take several months, or even years, to heal without proper treatment.

When used daily, the benefits of vitamin e oil can be seen on the skin. Vitamin E oil can help relieve dry patches of skin on the face, neck, hands, feet, or body. The oil moisturizes the skin, causing it to appear more supple and feel softer to the touch. Regular applications can also help stop skin, especially on the hands and feet, from flaking or cracking.

Rubbing pure vitamin E oil, or using a product containing the ingredient, into the cuticles can keep the cuticle from splitting or breaking. Cuticles can become dry and damaged, which can look unsightly and cause painful stinging or burning sensations. Massaging the oil into the cuticles can reverse the damage and make the cuticle appear healthier.

The scalp and hair can also profit from the benefits of vitamin E oil. Applying vitamin E to the scalp can help reduce flaking of dead skin cells and soothe broken or damaged areas. When applied to the hair, the oil acts as a conditioner and can give the hair a healthy glow and make it softer to the touch.

I had excessive hair shedding a few months ago. A friend recommended vitamin E. So I started taking a vitamin E supplement and I also started using a vitamin E hair oil to condition my scalp and hair.

The results were amazing. My hair shedding started to reduce and now everything is back to normal. I only lose a few strands while brushing and washing which is absolutely normal! I used to remove a ton of hair from my tub after each shower before. Vitamin E oil has definitely worked for me.

@fify-- Vitamin E oil is excellent for scars and it will fade them. It might take anywhere from a week to a month or more depending on the scar. You should apply it at least once a day but you can apply it more frequently if you want, there is no harm in it.

But vitamin E oil should not burn. Are you sure that you are using vitamin E oil that's safe for skin? It's available at the pharmacy. I actually use my vitamin E capsules. It's the same thing, the only difference is that the oil is inside the capsules. So I poke a hole in a capsule and squeeze the oil out.

I use vitamin E oil mostly for acne blemishes. It fades most of my blemishes within days. It's great stuff.

I have a small scar on my cheek. My cat scratched me while playing. It's a small scar but the scratch was deep, so it's a dark red color. It doesn't seem like it will ever fade. I applied vitamin E oil on it for the first time today, it burned a little bit. How long will it take for my scar to fade completely with vitamin E oil? Is it enough to apply it once a day?
