What are Razzles?

Since I have a sweet tooth, I normally know what is down the candy aisles of most chain super markets. I am pretty sure Razzles are still sold at most of the chain super markets, at least in the candy aisles I have been down as of late.

I really don’t buy Razzles too often, because I am not too fond of their flavors, I have only had the tropical ones though, maybe the raspberry and/or the sour ones would be a better choice for me though. I always thought it was strange and cool to have candy that turned into gum, but I was disappointed with the flavor. I also have never been the hugest fan of gum. I mean I like it, but most gum's lose flavor fast and do not really curb my appetite. Maybe that is because I have a high metabolism though. This article makes me want to give the other flavors of Razzles a try though.

I never got the draw of sour candy. When I was a kid, someone gave me a sour Razzle, and I thought it was the tropical kind. I got a very unpleasant surprise when I put it in my mouth!

Lots of my friends loved sour Razzles. To me, anything that makes your face draw up in a pucker cannot be good to eat. I made what my friends call “tomato face” when I ate the sour Razzle, which is the expression the citric acid of tomatoes brings to my face when I bite into them.

I want some Razzles right now! Just imagining their raspberry texture on my tongue and the prize of gum in the center is making me salivate.

I work at a gift shop that specializes in hard to find candy, and we sell both raspberry and tropical Razzles. The tropical ones are wonderful when I need a change from the ordinary, but I usually end up going back to the original.

I once lost ten pounds while controlling my cravings with Razzles. I would keep a box behind the counter, and instead of ordering fries or a pizza, I just popped a Razzle in my mouth. It satisfied me and kept my mind off of fattier things.

I also found some Razzles at a store and bought a couple to remember my childhood days. But you know, they didn't taste as good as I remembered them to be.

I don't know if they changed the recipe they use or if my tastes have changed, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. I kind of wish I hadn't bought them so I could remember them the way I did from childhood- tasty, sweet and fun!

Razzles were my favorite treat when I was a kid. I loved how much fun they were to eat and I am pretty sure the orange ones were the best. My grandparents always used to bribe me with Razzles when they wanted me to be good because they knew how much I loved them.

Nowadays, Razzles are a bit of a retro candy and I order them online from a store that specializes in selling candy from different decades. I think this is an amazing way to revisit your childhood. The next party I throw is definitely going to feature candy from the last thirty to forty years, so all of my friends are covered.

Wow, I haven't seen Razzles in store in a long time. I used to buy bulk candy and I would get some Razzles in a big bag because I liked how long they lasted. It also saved me having to buy gum separately.

I have never tried the tropical Razzles and am now really curious as to what it tastes like. I remember how delicious the raspberry flavor was and that it really kept its flavor, even in gum form.

I think I may have to take a trip to the grocery store and see if they have nay Razzles in stock. If not, its off to the online candy store to order some.

I remember Razzles had a contest offering a Stingray style Schwinn bicycle to anyone who had the best story about why they liked Razzles.

I'm wondering if anyone ever won that bike?

I sent in countless entries about Razzles being my favorite candy/gum. In all honesty, it clearly wasn't my favorite candy/gum. I just wanted the bike. The flavor ran out within a few minutes. I'm just curious about the winner.
