What are Liquid Zeolites?

Liquid zeolites are food supplements typically used for the purpose of removing heavy metal or other toxic materials safely from the human body. Zeolites are colloidal suspensions of a micronized, powdered zeolite, which are hydrated aluminosilicate minerals that have gone through purification in the manufacturing process. Usually, liquid zeolites tend to be sold in health food stores and are considered to be a supplement and not a drug.

Use of liquid zeolites has become more prevalent in recent years due to the fact that, during the course of a typical day, a person may come into contact with various toxins that can jeopardize health. For instance, there are the metals mercury, cadmium, arsenic, lead, or aluminum. These metals get inside the body via water, air, food, or skin.

Once in the body, the metals attach themselves to molecules and proteins, which leads to problems in cell functioning. Also the presence of these metals can potentially lead to free radicals causing tissue damage to various parts of the body, such as the joints, bones, arteries, kidneys, and brain. The liquid zeolites help remove toxins from the body and deactivate free radicals so the toxins cannot do as much damage and the immune system function can improve.

Liquid zeolites, as they are used in the process of detoxifying the body, have been reported to be less expensive and less invasive that other treatments, such as ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acids or dimercaptosuccinic acidic chelators that have been used in the past. There have also been reports from Dr. Gabriel Cousens, M.D., from the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center that, in a 14-month study, 51 out of 65 terminal cancer patients experienced complete remission after taking zeolites, although no report of the specific dosage was given. Further formal research remains to be done pertaining to zeolites.

There are various brands of liquid zeolite available for purchase. After being consumed, the zeolite goes through the body, detoxifies the body, and then is excreted from the body via urine approximately six to seven hours later. Some of the zeolite also is excreted from the body through stool, but this takes a longer period. If one has any questions about zeolite or any other herbal supplement, talk with a licensed medical doctor specializing in holistic medicine to get more information.
