What Are Floribunda Roses?

Floribunda roses are a hybrid of tea roses and wild roses, which are also known as polyantha. They are a garden rose, which means they are mainly grown for ornamental purposes in private gardens. These roses grow on small yet very dense shrubs that have thick stems. Clusters of blooms appear together, typically at the end of a stem. They provide a colorful floral display, and numerous shades are available.

These flowers are usually grown as a border or accent plant. They can also be grown in large containers. Floribunda roses are not a trailing or climbing variety, so they do not normally need a trellis in order to prosper.

Many people choose to plant floribunda roses as an accent plant in a butterfly or bumblebee garden. Other gardeners place these small bushes as a border around smaller types of flowers. They can also be grown in large containers on a patio or balcony.
