Throat lozanges are nice for throat congestion and dry throat but I don't like to use them all the time because they have medication inside. Good old cough drops or ginger drops works just as well.
Water is the best thing to drink for dry throat. Tea and coffee feel good while drinking because they're hot, but they make things worse in the long run because they're diuretic. So they actually remove water from the body. All caffeinated drinks do this.
