How Much Have Gas Prices Increased?

In the 12 months leading up to February 2012, gas prices in Italy increased by more than 18%, partially because of Italy's decision to raise gas taxes by 24%. In the United States, the increase in gas prices was more modest, only 12%. France, on the other hand, experienced a decrease in gas prices between February 2011 and February 2012.
