The longest Main Street in America is US Route 20 in Island Park, Idaho, which is 33 miles (53 k) long. The city consist mainly of resorts and lodges along Route 20 whose owners decided to incorporate in 1947 in order to get around Idaho's liquor laws that do not allow liquor to be sold outside city limits.
