I heard great things about tea tree oil for acne and decided to try it. Unfortunately, it turned out I'm allergic. I got a red, itchy rash on my skin where I had applied the tea tree oil. I wish I had tested the oil on my arm first. Everyone, please test oils first before using them on your face.

@SarahGen-- I personally use vitamin E oil for acne scars. I actually use it for all types of scars. I do the same thing you do. I buy the capsules and use them when necessary. It's so much easier this way and the capsules don't expire as quickly. Plus, I always keep them in the fridge.

Vitamin E oil is the best thing I have used so far for acne blemishes and scars. I apply it several times a day and rub it in. It smells a bit weird but it's okay since I only use a little bit. I don't even realize how it works. After a few days, I look in the mirror and the blemish is gone. For older, deeper scars, it takes longer for the vitamin E to work, up to a month or more. The key is applying it daily without fail.

Evening primrose oil is also great for acne. It fights acne and can help fade scars if used as a spot treatment. I take evening primrose oil supplements internally to balance my hormones. Sometimes, I make a puncture in one of the capsules and use the oil topically on acne blemishes and scars. I apply it before I go to bed and let it sit on my skin overnight. It helps scars fade faster.
