How do I Choose the Best Homeopathic Remedies for Ovarian Cysts?

If you suffer from ovarian cysts, there are some homeopathic treatements that might help. There are a few homeopathic remedies for ovarian cysts that you can choose from, but you should first consider your symptoms. For example, Thuja occidentalis is typically best for cysts in the left ovary, especially when they are accompanied by vaginal discharge and a short menstrual period. On the other hand, if the cysts are in the right ovary, and the period lasts for a long time, Lycopodium clavatum may be best. Apis mellifica can also be used for cysts on the right side, but this treatment is often best for those with severe pain during menstruation.

Thuja occidentalis is often indicated for use by those with cysts in the left ovary. People with this problem might also experience vaginal dryness despite the presence of green discharge. Additionally, your menstrual period may be late, and when it finally shows up, it is probably very light.

On the other hand, if the pain seems to be coming from the right side, you have a few options involving homeopathic medicine. If your period is often late, but seems to last much too long when it shows up, homeopathic practitioners suggest Lycopodium clavatum. This treatment can help cure vaginal dryness, as well, which often shows up with ovarian cysts. Additionally, if you notice severe bloating along with the pain in your right side, you might want to consider this homeopathic remedy.

Perhaps you have pain coming from your right ovary, but you do not notice any vaginal dryness or discharge. Instead, you may notice that your period is late, and that it is particularly painful when it finally appears. If so, you might want to consider Apis mellifica, which is often considered one of the best homeopathic remedies for ovarian cysts in the right side. Many women who benefit from this treatment are also looking to cure the tenderness in their abdominal region, along with extreme stomach bloating. Remember that you should always discuss your treatment with a medical professional to ensure that none of these products conflict with any other medications that you may be taking.

I feel strongly you should visit a homeopath!

I find it very interesting that different herbal remedies are effective depending on which side you have your pain on. I have really never given it much thought before, but when I stop and think about it, my pain is always on my right side.

I can't ever remember having pain like this on my left side. I am pretty hesitant when it comes to using natural remedies for these kind of things. I would rather go with something my family doctor recommends instead of trying to figure it out on my own.

I have ovarian cyst pain, and when they rupture they are really painful. I have heard of using Apis mellifica (which is bee sting therapy) for arthritis symptoms, but never realized it could also help with ovarian cyst pain.

Some people claim the venom from a honeybee sting helps with their arthritis, and I know other studies have been done using this type of therapy.

If someone were to try this, they would first need to know they aren't allergic to bee stings. Even though I am interested in using something like this, I would never try it because I have allergic reactions to bee stings. I will have to find some other natural way to hopefully help with my symptoms.

@Mykol-- I also like to experiment with homeopathic remedies and have used them to reduce some of the aggravating symptoms that come along with my period.

Lycopodium clavatum is a plant that is known as a clubmoss or groundpine. If you are going to try this as a homeopathic remedy, you must make sure the spores of the plant are crushed to get any benefit.

I would also check with your doctor before starting something like this. Some doctors are more open than others, but it is always good for them to know what you are doing.

I always like to try homeopathic remedies and have had good results with many different things I have tried. My periods are usually heavy, and I have quite a bit of pain with them. Sometimes this lasts for a few hours, and other times for several days.

I would love to try some herbal extracts, but have no idea what the common name is for the herbs mentioned in this article. I would be most interested in knowing what Lycopodium clavatum is.
