We use a product called Preferred Patron Loyalty Software Program". It covers all aspects above. This program does have automation capabilities but that is for determining who gets offers and when. The actual offers are established by us (store owner). Nothing goes out without our prior authorization. It's a simple but very effective loyalty program.

@indemnifyme - That's a pretty good point. I can imagine how mad I'd be if I responded to a special offer and no one at the office had any clue what I was talking about. That would be quite annoying.

I think you also brought up another discussion point: automated software. I can see how it would be a good idea for some, and not for others. For people like your boss who can't keep track of it, not a good idea. But I can see automated special offers being a great time saver for people who can keep up with what's going on!

I think one thing to keep in mind about customer loyalty software is to choose one you can keep track of. And by this I mean: you need to know what your software is doing!

For example, my boss has customer loyalty software for our office. It automatically emails our customers to tell them about certain offers and products. However, my boss doesn't keep up with what it's doing. So then people call the office asking about our emails and we have no idea what they're talking about! This makes us look pretty stupid.

So I guess what I'm saying is, customer loyalty software is great. If you pay attention to it!
