A home gym does not have to be large. It can be set up in a spare bedroom, a basement, a garage, or even in a corner of a room if the home is lacking in available space. An area with exercise machines is usually a permanent fixture, but if you are only using weights, you might be able to put those away in a closet when not in use.

You might want to look at buying gym equipment second hand. That kind of stuff is pretty easy to find nowadays. There are even dedicated stores that sell nothing but used gym equipment. You can save huge amounts of money over buying it new.

Power bands can be a good option for a home gym. They are cheap, easy to use, and adaptable to a lot of different workout routines.

But if you are going to buy one, invest in a nice one. I have bought the cheap ones before and they break after only a few uses. You can also feel the difference in the resistance. Quality bands are smoother and offer a wider arc of resistance.

Good news guys and girls. The cheapest and most effective home gym that there is is your very own body. You do not need any special weights or equipment or clothes. All you need is your very own body weight and the willingness to bend, stretch and throw it around the room for both strength and endurance training.

There are tons and tons of body weight routines that you can find online. You may be skeptical at first, but try one and feel how out of breath you feel. Don't waste your money on equipment that will do less for at a huge cost. Just use the gym you were born with.
