If your goal is to lose as little as possible, and thereby give yourself the greatest odds of winning, the Pass Line bet gives the player some of the best odds. Betting on the Pass Line gives the house just a 1.41% advantage. Compare this to betting on Any 7, where the house has a 16.9% advantage.

If your goal is to play craps as long as possible with the money you have, making bets with the best odds is the way to do it. If, on the other hand, your goal is to make a bet with a low chance of winning but a high payout when you do, you might try the 2 or 12 craps bet, which has a house advantage of 13.9%, but pays a winner 30 to 1!

When you get right down to it, craps is a very simple game that is easy to learn and has some bets with fairly good odds and others with low odds but high payouts.
